Electrify an acoustic guitar is not a simple job. Its better to leave it on expert hands like the manufacturer of your guitar in order to get the best results. Here you will find some of the most popular electrification systems used to amplify the acoustic sound of classical guitars, flamenco guitars and acoustic guitars. We don’t pretend to cover all the amplification systems out there in the market for the acoustic guitar, but the ones most used by the spanish manufacturers, and certainly the ones usually installed on the guitars we offer. Most of them consist on a Piezoelectric pickup installed under the bone saddle on the bridge of the guitar, but some of them also combines that signal with an internal microphone, making possible to blend the two signals in order to obtain the most natural amplified sound of your guitar.

L.R. Baggs Anthem SL Classic
The Anthem SL Classical features L.R. Baggs patent pending TRU•MIC microphone technology. The mic is designed to capture the majority of your guitar’s true voice in a way that only a microphone is capable of – plus it is amazingly feedback resistant. Their Element under saddle pickup carries only the lowest frequencies for punch and authority. The TRU•MIC and Element pickup are preset for optimum performance and the soundhole mounted controller has volume and mic gain trim controls.
At the heart of the Anthem is a revolutionary microphone engineered to capture a dynamic studio-mic’d sound for any live performance. The TRU•MIC mounts to the underside of the bridge plate and hovers just 3 mm above its surface to take advantage of the PZM or “boundary” effect. This proprietary mounting system, combined with noise cancellation, frees the mic to perform as if it were outside of the guitar in a studio and maintain remarkable feedback suppression for the stage. The result is a balanced frequency response with excellent clarity for the purest sound you have ever heard amplified. We have paired the Element pickup with the TRU•MIC to provide solidity and punch for low frequencies.

RMC MIDI Polydrive-IV (E10)
The RMC Poly-Drive IV is a 6 channel polyphonic preamp with 3-band equalizer and guitar/synth controls. The Polyphonic section of the preamp buffers the separate string signals and routes them separately to the POLY OUT jack. The separate string signals are also combined in the ‘DMX’ feedback elimination circuit which produces a mono instrument signal. The mono signal is then equalized, passed through the INSTR. VOLUME control, buffered with a low output impedance Line Driver and fed to both the MONO OUT and the POLY OUT jacks.
- 3-Band EQ with Mid-Frequency Select switch
- ‘DMX’ Acoustic Feedback elimination circuitry
- Synth Volume and SW1 & SW2 Synth Mode Selectors
- Excellent synth tracking and dynamic response
- Compatible with all current Guitar to MIDI converters
- Two output jacks: 13-pin DIN and 1/4″ phone
- Works on single internal 9V
- Studio Quality performance 90 dB S/N typical
